Lucknow: Describing the Uttar Pradesh’s state budget as ‘pragmatic,’ apex industry body ASSOCHAM today gave a thumbs-up to the Yogi Adityanath government’s second budget.

“It is a very balanced budget which is likely to spur holistic growth and development of Uttar Pradesh (UP),” said Mr D.S. Rawat, secretary general of The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM).

The chamber hailed the supportive announcements and fund allocation for different industrial sectors – infrastructure, education, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), cottage and rural industry, food processing, healthcare, information technology (IT) and others.

“These initiatives, if implemented in letter and spirit, are likely to boost the state’s investment attractiveness and create significant employment opportunities across UP,” said Mr Rawat.

“In a nutshell, the Budgetary proposals reaffirm UP government’s commitment to promote inclusive growth,” added the ASSOCHAM secretary general.
